elprotec specialises in tool design and manufacturing plastic parts. Our experience in the automotive industry led us to specialise in prototype and pre-series tools made from aluminium and steel. Production is carried out with loose parts or fully automatic tools. This developed into the production of small series tools through to series tools.

  • The company was founded in Minden

  • Company name as elprotec Prototypen & Formenbau GmbH

  • Expansion of a production facility with its own injection molding machines at a further location in Minden

  • DIN-ISO 9001 certified

  • Consolidation of both locations in Minden to approx. 2,000 m²

  • In-house construction department

  • New building of a production hall 1.000m²

  • Tool shop is enlarged by 250m² to a total of 500m²

  • Construction of an EDM department with die-sinking EDM and wire EDM

  • Certified according to DIN-ISO 9001:2015

  • Construction laser welding department

We use only the most modern information technology and the best equipped machines: These include CAD-CAM systems and CNC high-speed centres for pre-series, small-series and series tools.

In order to continue to produce in an economical way in the future, our production processes undergo constant testing for their performance and are improved to take on new challenges. It is also important to look for new innovative approaches (e.g. using process combinations) and, where necessary, to introduce completely new processes.
